Say Hi to the New Members of the Tyke Hike Family!

The Tyke Hike family has grown! We recently hired two interns to assist in marketing and communications. We're grateful for their energy and passion! We’d like to introduce Katharine Sharpstone and Dean Hart:

Katharine’s love for the outdoors began at a very young age while spending her summers at a remote lake in Ontario, Canada. This passion continued during her time at Princeton University where she trained to be an Outdoor Action Leader, responsible for leading a 5-day hiking and camping trip that incoming freshmen partake in before beginning their first semester. She also participated in an Outward Bound course learning white water rafting and kayaking techniques in Colorado and Utah.

Katharine spent 4 years working in the sports and entertainment industry in New York City after graduating from Princeton. She moved to Atlanta in 2018 to attend Goizueta Business School concentrating in Marketing and Strategy and is a recent graduate of the MBA program! Katharine has greatly enjoyed the ample outdoor activities that Atlanta has to offer.

Dean developed a love of nature during his childhood in rural Central Texas playing among the mesquite and oak trees. His most treasured memories are the nature walks his great aunt would lead him and his sister on. Once he was older, he would often lead his younger cousins on nature walks throughout the many state parks they visited. His love of nature led him to an interest in sustainable development within his political science undergraduate program at Midwestern State University.

Dean is currently a second-year graduate student studying public diplomacy in the School of International Service at American University. His goal in life is to help connect communities and communicate big ideas in simple ways. He is excited to help Tyke Hike connect families in Atlanta with nature.

Please join us in welcoming these two excellent additions to the Tyke Hike team!
