COVID-19 Updates and Procedures
The health and wellbeing of our Tyke Hike families and partners is our top priority.
To ensure everyone's safety, we suspended our in-person activities in March at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Over the summer, we developed new and interesting ways of connecting families to nature through virtual activities and our newsletter, blog posts, and soon-to-be launched activity box, Tyke Hike To-Go!
We are thrilled to continue these endeavors AND re-launch in-person Tyke Hikes this fall, following guidelines from the CDC for outdoor activities. We are ready to ensure everyone feels comfortable and safe.
Our new, socially-distanced Tyke Hikes follow these rules:
Limited number of families on each hike.
Families and/or quarantine pods stay 6 ft. apart.
Adults are required to wear a mask. Tykes are strongly encouraged to wear a mask.
Registered participants are asked to assess their own health on the day of their scheduled program and encouraged to stay home if they aren't feeling well or develop cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, recent loss of taste or smell, new or worsened congestion, or diarrhea. Tyke Hike will gladly transfer any reservation to a future date at no additional cost.
